Early Projects Saskatoon, SK
The Meridian was the residential condominium project that launched the company. Focused on the lifestyle of the young professional, it introduced first-time homebuyers to modern condominium living in a vibrant neighbourhood near the University of Saskatchewan.
Other early projects included Whiteswan Lofts, Kitsilano, Verdi, Opus I and Opus II, Murano, Kensington Land Development, and single-family housing, laying the foundation for Meridian’s future growth.
Villagio transformed aging apartments that had become a blight in one of Saskatoon’s most established neighbourhoods into six award-winning heritage townhomes, each unique in its design. The project showcased the high level of craftsmanship Meridian could deliver while preserving the character of the neighbourhood. Villagio demonstrated that Meridian was no ordinary developer, establishing a reputation for exceptional attention to detail and quality.
Built adjacent to the Marr Residence, the oldest residence in Saskatoon, The Hideaway was an innovative infill development that increased the density of the site while respecting its historic surroundings. Its elegant Craftsman-style architecture reflects Meridian’s thoughtful approach to development, ensuring the project remained compatible with the character of the neighbourhood.
The King George is Meridian’s award-winning redevelopment of the historic 1911 King George Hotel into a mixed-use building featuring retail, office space, and luxury condominiums. With unique floor plans, full and French balconies, and a Parisian-inspired rooftop terrace complete with a fireplace and outdoor kitchen, condominium living at The King George is both urban and sophisticated.
While renovations completed decades earlier had removed many of the building’s original architectural features, Meridian carefully preserved the remaining heritage elements and incorporated them into the redevelopment. Today, The King George has reclaimed its place as one of Saskatoon’s landmark buildings and helped define Meridian as a leader in high-end residential development.
Luxe brought new life to Saskatoon’s vibrant Broadway district with a contemporary mixed-use development that combines luxury condominiums with street-level retail. Its cutting-edge design attracted professionals seeking an urban lifestyle while maintaining the continuity of Broadway’s commercial corridor.
With its penthouses and Sky Estates floors, Luxe set a new standard for luxury condominium living in Saskatoon and became the city’s first condominium development to surpass the million-dollar market, delivering a level of quality and innovation reminiscent of major markets such as New York and Miami.
Residences Saskatoon, SK
For 25 years, the University of Saskatchewan was unable to come up with a cost-effective way to build their much-needed residences, while offering a design and youthful flare that would attract international students.
With its U of S alumni founders at the helm, Meridian found a way to create 800 beds in four student residences, delivered on time and under budget. The development exceeded all expectations and was an enormous hit with students and their families. The development stands as a testament to how Meridian thinks out of the box to get things done, and done beautifully.
Affinity Credit Union approached Meridian seeking to strike a partnership to develop a core building for the credit union across the province that would allow them to combine all of their staff on one campus. Looking at the important history of Affinity’s credit unions in the province and their desire to convey that they are an innovative modern financial institution, Meridian’s creativity was sparked. That became the impetus for using the façade of a historic school that had fallen into disrepair, and innovatively blending it with modern design. The result was truly one of the most impressive buildings in the province, and one that re-energized the character neighborhood where it is situated. This re-development was a departure from Meridian’s reputation for residential developments, but underscored Meridian’s belief that it could take on any challenge.
Urban living inspired Meridian’s desire to bring sought-after design to the masses. Well established as a builder of luxury condominiums, Meridian entered the market for affordable condominiums to offer buyers more than they expected for the price. With open-concept floor plans, large windows, and sleek kitchen designs, Aria brought contemporary condominium living to a wider audience and quickly became popular with a diverse range of homeowners.
Creative design and innovative living define Sequoia Rise & Square in Saskatoon’s Evergreen community. While each development has its own unique character, both remain true to the quality and attention to detail Meridian introduced at nearby Aria. Large windows, nine-foot ceilings, contemporary kitchens, and open-concept living spaces create bright, functional homes, while a variety of one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts with underground parking offer something for every lifestyle.

The development offers a wide range of services, including medical offices, related healthcare services, and an array of local and national retailers. With its bold exterior architecture and high-quality finishes, IronWood Crossing stands apart from surrounding commercial developments and has become a destination for the community it serves.
Meridian’s desire to bring the art of living well to seniors inspired the creation of LutherCare Village. Working with LutherCare, a leading provider of seniors’ housing and care, Meridian developed an innovative community that offers enriched living and intermediate care in an environment unlike traditional seniors’ residences. Inspired by a Pacific Northwest “Modern Lodge,” the development blends clean architectural lines with warm, organic finishes to create a welcoming atmosphere that feels residential rather than institutional. LutherCare Village reflects Meridian’s commitment to creating exceptional places that encourage community, connection, and a higher quality of life.
